Had an okay experience at Book Latte at Festive Walk. The area is very accessible from the mall and other nearby modes of transpo, and you can be dropped off easily. There is also parking right outside and nearby. It is walking distance from the Iloilo Contemporary Arts Museum, which makes for a great landmark when looking for this place. On a weekday afternoon, it’s not very busy. Place was about half full, fairly quiet. Servers were really nice and helpful. The place has lighting but is not super lit up and bright like cafes usually are. The food was good, and cooking time is as expected. I had the chicken steak with mashed potatoes, which you can switch with rice. The chicken steak is a chicken fillet (remember to ask for a knife; I made the mistake of not asking for one and the meat is slightly tough) but not a big meal if you’re looking for something very filling, though it is enough for a regular meal. The Shakespearean Irish Coffee was also okay, sweet. Price-wise, it’s okay considering the location and inflation. But expect to pay in the range of around ₱500 (or above) if you have a meal with a non-regular drink like coffee.

We tried looking for a dinner place even though it was already around 9pm and thankfully this place is open 24/7. We thought they only sell coffee but they offer a wide variety of meals as well. I tried their bistek bangus and it was so good, very flavorful, daw kulangon ang duwa ka rice lol. Mejo pricey lang but the serving is generous naman with all the side dishes and free water. Table is kinda limited but they also have outdoor seating options. Bathroom is located on the 2nd floor, common to all tenants of the whole building.

The menu is on the pricier side but I think it's worth the price. I loved the food that I've tasted so far, and my family loves the food here, too. Servings are big and can be possibly shared between two people. The interior design looks like the dark academia aesthetic. They have a shelf of books on the first floor that you could borrow I believe, and they also have a balcony with bean bags and a few more books.

2024 UPDATE: Still love visiting Book Latte after all these years, especially after their recent renovations. They have new menu items to try, so definitely worth a visit. Don't forget to try their all-day breakfast and any of their delicious waffles. **updated review with new photos ‐--------- Now open 24/7, grab the best waffles in their new location at Megaworld Festive Walk. This posh cafe and restaurant also features yummy cakes, coffee, sandwiches, and snacks. I recommend their carrot cake paired with brewed coffee, their all-day breakfast options with waffles, and my favorite - Molo Blanca (fusion of pasta and pancit Molo). Their nachos are also to die for (big servings and super yummy - great value for your money). They have a small art space that features Ilonggo talents, as well as a good variety of books you can read while sipping on hot coffee or tea. Staff are friendly and warm. Don't forget to follow them on social media for the latest updates.

I didn't research the place, so based on the name, we went in planning and expecting for just coffee and some pastries. I was happy to find out they have a full menu!! I was pleasantly surprised with the food they served. Food and coffee were great. I highly recommend this place.

I so loved my visit to this restaurant, the staff are so friendly and the space is very cute. There's a second floor where there are books to enjoy, though we haven't been up there. They also sell books and offer a selection of wonderful treats and drink to enjoy them with. On top of this they make some truly delicious dishes, I don't always say that either. I ordered a platter of bifsteak and poached eggs and I was very pleased, the meat was tender and the egg was perfectly poached. Tasted very fresh, it comes with a side of salad as well as the choice of garlic rice. Very aromatic! For my fiance, she ordered bacon and eggs and the eggs were fluffy, just the way she likes it. For dessert, we shared a banana and nutella waffle which made us very very happy. The waffle wasn't soft or soggy, it was nice and crispy which we did not expect. The nutella wasn't overpowering either, so you can still taste the banana. I highly highly recommend a visit, You will be happy you did.
